Tricia Grajeda (Mrs. G), the PE teacher at Rio Rancho Elementary School, received a Distinguished Service Award from Special Olympics New Mexico(SONM)! She was named Outstanding Unified Champion School Coach by SONM for her dedication and leadership during the last few years, helping Rio Rancho Elementary School become a nationally recognized banner school!
Currently, RRES is the only elementary school in New Mexico to become a UCS Banner School. In May of 2023, they will celebrate this accomplishment with a banner school presentation event.
